Lima bean soup

Ingredients:
1 lbsFrozen lima beans
3 1/2 cupSliced carrots
3 tbspOlive oil
5 eachGreen onions, finely chopped
5 cupChopped mushrooms
1 dashBasil
1 dashBlack pepper
1 dashCayenne
3/4 cupSoy sauce
Procedures:
1Cook lima beans in water according to packet instructions.
2Steam carrots till tender.
3Drain reserving cooking water.
4Heat oil in a skillet & saute green onions & mushrooms until tender.
5Add spices & saute for a further 1 minute.
6Combine all ingredients (except milk) along with 1 cup of bean & carrot water.
7Using a blender, blend in batches till smooth.
8Pour mixture into a large soup pot.
9Add milk.
10Cook slowly for 15 to 20 minutes.
