Marie's baked bean soup

Ingredients:
16 ozCooked dry butter beans
- (lima) (1 can)
18 ozBaked beans (1 can)
16 ozDark red kidney beans
- drained (1 can)
16 ozStewed, diced tomatoes
(1 can)
1 lbsBacon, cooked and chopped
- (ham may be substituted)
- with drippings
1 largeOnion, chopped
2 tbspBrown sugar
1 1/2 tspSalt
1 1/2 tspSchilling peppered seasonin
1 1/2 tbspRed wine vinegar
- OR -
1 1/2 tbspApple cider vinegar
16 ozChunk pineapple, drained
- (1 can)
Liquid smoke to taste
- (optional)
Procedures:
1In slow-cooker pot, combine butter beans, baked beans, kidney beans, tomatoes, bacon (with drippings), onion, brown sugar, salt, seasoning, vinegar, pineapple and liquid smoke; blend thoroughly.
2Cover and cook on low setting of slow cooker pot for 6 hours.
3Makes 6 to 8 servings.
4Serve with sourdough bread.
5Note: if thicker soup is desired, drain all beans, etc.
6Preparation time: 15 minutes cooking time: 6 hours
