Ingredients:
4 cupWater
1 cupSplit Peas, sorted and
-washed
1/2 lbsBeef Flank Steak
1/2 tspSalt
1/4 tspBlack Pepper, ground
2 Carrots, grated
2 Onions, chopped
Procedures:
1Combine the water and peas in a saucepan.
2Bring to a boil; then cook over low heat for 1 hour.
3Cut the beef diagonally into thin slices.
4Add the beef and the remaining ingredients.
5Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the meat is tender.
6remove the beef slices and puree if a smooth soup is desired.
7Serve with the beef slices on top.
