Ingredients:
1 1/2 cupActive Sourdough Starter
4 cupUnbleached Flour
2 tbspSugar
2 tbspShortening, Melted
1 tspSalt
1/4 tspBaking Soda
Procedures:
1Into a large bowl, sift the dry ingredients, and dig a well in the center of the sourdough starter.
2Blend the dry mix into the starter from the edges with enough flour to knead until smooth and shiny.
3Place in greased bowl and let rise until almost double.
4Shape into 2 loaves and place in greased bread pans.
5Bake at 375 °F until done.
