| cup | Unbleached Flour | | 2
| tbsp | Sugar | | 2
| tbsp | Shortening, Melted | | 1
| tsp | Salt | | 1/4
| tsp | Baking Soda |

Procedures:
| 1 | Into a large bowl, sift the dry ingredients, and dig a well in the center of the sourdough starter. | | 2 | Blend the dry mix into the starter from the edges with enough flour to knead until smooth and shiny. | | 3 | Place in greased bowl and let rise until almost double. | | 4 | Shape into 2 loaves and place in greased bread pans. | | 5 | Bake at 375 °F until done. |
