Hearty split-pea soup

Ingredients:
Leftover chopped turkey ham
1 lbsSplit peas
2 eachThinly sliced carrots
1 eachMedium onion, chopped
1/4 tspAllspice
1/4 tspPepper
1 eachBay leaf
Procedures:
1Heat leftover ham, peas, carrots, onion and 7 cups of water in dutch oven.
2Heat to boiling then reduce heat and simmer for 3-4 hours or until peas are soft.
3Remove bay leaf and serve.
4Makes 10 1-cup servings.
