Apple-honey custard pie

Ingredients:
1 9 inch pie shell, unbaked
2 cupPeeled, sliced apples (any
Kind except Red Delicious)
4 largeEggs
3/4 cupHoney
1 cupYogurt
1 tspVanilla
1/2 tspCinnamon
1/4 tspSalt
Procedures:
1Spread apple slices evenly over pie shell.
2Combine remaining ingredients in the blender, and turn at high speed for several seconds.
3Pour custard over apples in pie shell.
4Sprinkle on some nuts (walnuts or almonds recommended), if desired.
5Bake 45 minutes in 375°F oven, or until sold when jiggled.
6Sprinkle top of pie with chopped nuts (optional).
7Cool at least to room temperature before cutting.
8Optional: replace apples with sliced fresh peaches or pitted, halved fresh black cherries note: you may replace honey with maple syrup
