| 1 | Beat eggs until light and fluffy. |
| 2 | Add sugar and flavoring. |
| 3 | Add the first amount of flour into the mixture. |
| 4 | Add chopped nuts and cherries and softened butter. |
| 5 | Last stir in flour and baking powder into cake. |
| 6 | Make 3 long loaves on a buttered and floured cookie sheet using a wooden spoon. |
| 7 | Indent slightly in the middle of each. |
| 8 | Bake at 350 °F for 25 minutes. |
| 9 | Remove from oven and cut each loaf in ?inch slices. |
| 10 | Return to pan and toast on both sides of 475 degrees until brown (about 5 minutes). |
| 11 | Watch closely so they don"t burn. |
