Maple popcorn

Ingredients:
-Sue Woodward
1 cupMaple syrup
3 tbspButter
1 tspVanilla
8 cupPopped corn
Procedures:
1Lightly butter a 9"x13" baking pan.
2Set aside.
3In a heavy saucepan, combine maple syrup and butter.
4Bring mixture to a boil.
5Cook, stirring occasionally, until a candy thermometer reaches 275°F (syrup separates into hard, but not brittle, threads when dropped into very cold water).
6Remove from heat; add vanilla extract.
7Pour over popcorn.
8Pack the mixture lightly into the prepared pan; let cool completely.
9Cut into small squares.
