Winter squash apple & walnut soup

Ingredients:
24 ozFrozen pureed winter squash
- (butternut), defrosted
2 tbspUnsalted butter or margarine
1 cupUnsweetened applesauce
1 cupLight cream
1 1/2 cupChicken stock
1/4 cupGround toasted walnuts
2 tspDried chervil, crumbled
1/2 tspGround mace
Salt
White pepper
1/2 cupToasted walnut pieces
- for garnish
Procedures:
1Combine all the ingredients except the walnuts to be used for garnish in a large saucepan and stir to blend well.
2Cook the soup over medium heat until warmed through, about 6 to 8 minutes.
3Ladle the soup into bowls and add a few chopped walnut pieces in the center.
