| cup | Flour, all purpose | | 1/4
| cup | Sugar | | 1/3
| cup | Milk | | 1/3
| cup | Dry white wine | | 3
| | Eggs | | | -fat for frying | | | Confectioner's sugar | | | Cinnamon |

| 1 | "fresh fruit coated with batter and deep fried is a favorite dessert in several eastern european countries. | | 2 | Plums, apples or currants are prepared in the same manner. | | 3 | In hungary this dessert is called cseresznye kisutve". | | 4 | Wash cherries and wipe dry. | | 5 | Do not remove stems. | | 6 | Tie with thread to form clusters of 4 cherries. | | 7 | Combine flour, sugar, milk, wine and eggs in a bowl. | | 8 | Mix to make a smooth batter. | | 9 | Dip each cluster of cherries into batter, coating well; and drop into a kettle of deep hot fat (375f on frying thermometer). | | 10 | When golden, remove with a slotted spoon and drain. | | 11 | Serve at once with confectioner"s sugar and cinnamon. | | 12 | Serves:6 |
