| 1 | Place figs and water in saucepan. |
| 2 | Bring to hard boil, then lower heat and simmer. |
| 3 | Cover figs and cook for 20 minutes. |
| 4 | Add molasses, ginger and sugar. |
| 5 | Stir gently in order to avoid breaking figs. |
| 6 | Simmer for 15 minutes more or until figs are plumped and tender. |
| 7 | Serves 5 or Wonderful with ham, pork, chicken, steak or roast beef! |
