Green tomato & apple chutney

Ingredients:
5 cupGreen tomatoes
-- coarsely chopped
3 cupGreen-skinned apples*
1 largeRed bell pepper, seeded
-- coarsely chopped
1/2 cupRaisins
2 tbspFresh ginger, chopped
2 Finely chopped garlic cloves
1/2 tspMustard seed
1/2 tspGround cumin
1 tspGround coriander
1/8 tspEach nutmeg and cayenne
2 tspSalt
1 cupFirmly packed brown sugar
1 cupMild white or rice vinegar
Procedures:
1*apples should be peeled, cored and coarsely chopped.
2In a large 4 or 5-quart saucepan, combine all ingredients.
3Bring to a boil and then simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 45 minutes or until thickened.
4Cool, then store in glass jars in the refrigerator.
5Let chutney mellow for a few days before serving.
6Yield: about 5 cups.
