Jumbo date flapjacks

Ingredients:
6 ozVegetable margarine
4 ozBrown sugar
1 tbspMolasses
8 ozJumbo oats
8 ozDates, chopped
1 tspMixed spices
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 350f & grease a swiss roll tin.
2Put the margarine, sugar & molasses into a thick pan & heat very gently until the fat is melted, stirring well.
3Stir in the oats, dates & the spices.
4Press the mixture into the prepared tin.
5Press flat & bake for 25 minutes.
6Cool in the tin for 15 minutes.
7Score into squares with a sharp knife.
8Leave in the tin until completely cold & then cut into pieces to serve.
