Lemon fluff custard for dee

Ingredients:
3 Eggs, well beaten
1/2 cupSugar
1/2 tspSalt, optional
1 cupHalf and half, scalded
1 cupSour cream
1/4 cupLemon juice, fresh squeezed
1 dashCinnamon
1 dashNutmeg
3/4 cupCurrants, or raisins
1 1/4 cupRice, cooked/cooled
1 Nutmeg, fresh grated
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 325 °F.
2Mix the well-beaten egg with the sugar and salt.
3Add one-half of scalded half and half in a very fine stream, stirringvigorously all the while.
4Mix the sour cream into the remaining half and half, and stir into the first mixture, along with the lemon juice.
5Add the rice, currants (or raisins), and nutmeg.
6Mix together well.
7Pour the mixture into a buttered casserole, and set it in a shallow pan.
8Pour hot water into the pan, so that it comes about half-way up the side of the casserole.
9Grate the fresh nutmeg on top of the custard.
10Bake 1 ?hours, or until the custard is set and turning golden on top.
