Ingredients:
| 1 1/2
| cup | Whole wheat pastry flour | | 1/3
| cup | Wholemeal flour | | 3/4
| cup | Wheat bran | | 1
| tsp | Baking powder | | 2
| tbsp | Soy margarine | | 2
| tbsp | Corn syrup | | 1
| cup | Potato or soy milk |

Procedures:
| 1 | Mix dry ingredients. | | 2 | Add margarine and mix well. | | 3 | Add the syrup and enough milk to make a loose dough. | | 4 | Turn onto a floured board and knead until smooth. | | 5 | Roll out into a square with a thickness of about ?inch. | | 6 | Cut dough in half, then into quarters and then to eights. | | 7 | Bake on a lightly floured baking sheet at 400f for approximately 20 minutes. | | 8 | Cool on a wire rack. | | 9 | Split and serve with whole fruit preserves. | | 10 | Total calories per serving-79 fat-2grams from the vegetarian journal march/april 1993 |
