Barbecued ribs bbq/dry rub mix

Ingredients:
DRY RUB-
4 tspPaprika
2 tspSalt
2 tspOnion powder
2 tspGround black pepper
1 tspCayenne
SAUCE-
6 tbspSalt
6 tbspBlack pepper
6 tspChili powder
4 cupKetchup
4 cupWhite vinegar
4 cupWater
1 largeYellow onion -- diced
1/2 cupSorghum molasses
Procedures:
1Dry rub directions: mix in jar, cover and shake well to mix.
2Sprinkle rub liberally on ribs.
3Allow to stand 20 to 30 minutes at room temperature until rub appears wet.
4Rib smoking directions: prepare smoker for long, slow cooking using hickory chips for flavor.
5Cook ribs, bone side down at 230 °F for 2 hours using indirect heat.
6Turn and cook 1 more hour.
7During last 15 minutes, baste with bbq sauce diluted by ?with water.
8Serve ribs with warm undiluted sauce on the side.
9Bbq sauce directions: combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
10Bring to a rolling boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1-?hours, stirring every 10 minutes or so.
11Pour into steralized jars, seal and let stand for 2 to 6 weeks before using.
