Ingredients:
2 tbspVegetable oil
1 lbsLean stew meat -- cut into
1 Inch
Chunks
1 packBeef Vegetable and Barley
Soup Starter Mix
6 cupWater
1 canChopped tomatoes -- (14
Ounce)
3 Carrots -- chopped
3 Ribs celery -- chopped
Procedures:
1In a large stockpot, heat the oil and add the meat cubes.
2Saute until the meat is browned on all sides.
3Add the water, tomatoes, and soup starter mix.
4Bring the mixture to a boil, and reduce the heat.
5Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
6Stir in the celery and carrots.
7Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
8Discard the bay leaf.
