Ingredients:
2 cupFlour
3 tspBaking powder
1/4 tspBaking soda
1/2 tspGinger
1/4 tspSalt
1 Egg, well beaten
1/2 cupMilk
1/2 cupMolasses
4 tbspMelted shortening
3/4 cupGrated cheese
Procedures:
1Prize winning recipe
2sift flour, measure, and sift with salt, ginger, baking soda, and baking powder.
3Combine egg, milk, and molasses.
4Add to dry ingredients, stirring constantly.
5Beat only until smooth.
6Add shortening, and fold in grated cheese.
7Fill well-oiled muffin tins 2/3 full.
8Bake in hot oven (425°F) 10-15 minutes.
