Bean & sausage soup

Ingredients:
1/2 lbsDry small white beans
-- (navy or great northern)
-- soaked
5 cupWater
1/2 cupChopped onion
1/2 tspSalt
1 tspChicken bouillon granules
1/4 tspGround cumin
1/8 tspPepper
1 Bay leaf
8 ozHot sausage
-- sliced ?inch thick
8 3/4 ozCanned garbanzo beans
-- drained
8 3/4 ozCanned cream-style corn
Chopped parsley
Procedures:
1Drain and rinse soaked beans.
2Saute onion and garlic in oil until tender.
3Add water, onion and seasonings.
4Simmer, covered, about 30 minutes or until beans are almost tender.
5Add sausage, garbanzo beans and corn.
6Return mixture to boil; simmer 30 minutes or until beans are tender.
7Remove bay leaf.
8Garnish with parsley.
9Makes 4 or 5 servings.
