Cajun yam-pecan bisque

Ingredients:
1 bunchGreen Onions, finely chopped
Reserve half of tops
2 tbspPecan Oil
2 tbspCajun Blackened Seasonings
1 lbsYams, peeled and chopped
1 1/2 quartChicken Stock
Salt
1/2 cupGround Toasted Pecans, or
Pecan Meal
Procedures:
1Saute green onions breifly in oil in a soup pot.
2Add cajun seasonings and saute 30 seconds longer to bring up flavors.
3Stir in yams and stock.
4Add a little salt.
5Cook until yams are soft enough to puree.
6Puree into a smooth soup.
7Stir in ground roasted pecans.
8Season with salt to taste.
9Just before serving, stir in reserved green onion tops.
