Ingredients:
6 sliceBacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cupCelery, chopped
1/2 cupCarrot, chopped
1/2 cupOnion, chopped
1/2 cupGreen pepper, chopped
1/3 cupFlour
1/2 tspSalt
1/4 tspPepper
2 cupHalf and half
1 cupMilk
1 canClear chicken broth, 14.5
-oz.
2 cupSharp cheddar cheese
-shredded
Procedures:
1Remove bacon from drippings.
2Add vegetables to bacon drippings and cook until tender.
3Blend in flour, salt and pepper; stir well.
4Gradually stir in half-and-half, milk and chicken broth.
5Cover and cook until thickened and bubbly, stirring occasionally.
6Add cheese, stirring antil melted.
7Top each serving with bacon.
