Beer & cheddar soup

Ingredients:
1 quartBeer
1 quartChicken stock
1 cupHeavy cream
3 Egg yolks
1 cupCheddar cheese, shredded
1 tspPaprika
Procedures:
1Recipe by: elizabeth powell preparation time: 0:40 bring beer and chicken stock to a boil over moderate heat.
2Simmer for 25 minutes.
3Beat egg yolks until thick and pale yellow.
4Beat in cream.
5Slowly add a little of the hot beer to egg mixture, stirring constantly to prevent curdling.
6Add egg mixture and cheese to remaining soup.
7Heat for 5 minutes, but do not allow the soup to boil.
