Ingredients:

| | Crust for 9" pie (single) | | | FILLING | | 4
| cup | Tart apples, shredded | | 2
| tbsp | Lemon juice | | 1
| cup | Walnuts, chopped | | 3/4
| cup | Brown sugar | | | Ds Nutmeg | | 1/2
| cup | Honey | | | TOPPING | | 4
| tbsp | Butter, soft | | 3
| tbsp | Flour | | 3
| tbsp | Walnuts, chopped | | 3
| tbsp | Brown sugar |

Procedures:
| 1 | Prepare crust or use a ready made one. | | 2 | Prebake at 375°F for about 8 minutes. | | 3 | Prepare filling. | | 4 | Shred apples (they don"t need to be peeled if skin is soft). | | 5 | Mix with lemon juice quickly. | | 6 | Blend together walnuts, brown sugar and nutmeg. | | 7 | Place apples in the prepared shell. | | 8 | Top with walnut mix. | | 9 | Pour honey evenly over all. | | 10 | Bake at 375°F for about 35 minutes. | | 11 | In the meantime, prepare topping. | | 12 | With fork, blend together butter, flour, walnuts and sugar until crumbly. | | 13 | Top pie with crumbled mix. | | 14 | Bake another 10-15 minutes or until apples are soft and topping is light brown. | | 15 | Serve with whipped cream or ice cream |
