Berry buttermilk soup

Ingredients:
2 cupFresh or frozen loose-pack
-blueberries or strawberries
1 1/2 cupWater
1/2 cupSugar
1/2 tspFinely shredded orange peel
2 tbspOrange juice
2 cupButtermilk
Procedures:
1Thaw berries, if frozen; drain.
2If desired, set aside 5 or 6 berries for garnish.
3In 1 ?quart saucepan combine berries, water, sugar, orange peel, and juice.
4Bring to boiling.
5Reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 minutes.
6Cool 30 minutes.
7Pour into blender container; cover and blend till smooth.
8Stir in the buttermilk.
9Cover and chill thoroughly.
10If desired garnish each serving with reserved berry or thin orange slice.
11Makes 5 to 6 servings.
