Ingredients:
1 Egg
1 cupSour cream, room temp
3/4 cupSugar
2 tbspFlour
1/2 tspVanilla
Ds Salt
2 1/4 cupCooking apples, finely chpd
-peeled (2-3 apples)
1/4 tspGrated lemon peel
1 9" single-crust pie shell
-unbaked
STREUSEL TOPPING
1/2 cupSugar
1/3 cupFlour
3/4 tspCinnamon
1/4 cupButter
Procedures:
1Prep: 20 mins cook: 50-55 mins in lg bowl beat egg, stir in sour cream, sugar, flour, vanilla, and salt to blend thoroughly.
2Fold in apples and lemon peel, pour into pie shell.
3Bake 450, 10 mins.
4Reduce heat to 350, bake 25-30 mins until crust is golden brown.
5Sprinkle streusel topping evenly over pie.
6Bake 15 mins longer.
7Remove to rack to cool slightly.
8Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate.
9Streusel topping; in sm bowl mix sugar, flour, cinnamon.
10With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter to make a crumble mixture
