Ingredients:
4 cupStock, beef
1 eachCarrots
1/2 Onions, chopped
4 ozPrego
1/8 cupRaisins
1/2 cupVinegar, white
1/8 cupParsley
1/2 eachTurnips
1/2 canTomatoes
1 eachBay leaves
1 Leeks, white part, chopped
1/2 cupBeets, chopped
1/2 eachPotatoes
1 1/2 tbspPrego
2/5 cupSugar
3/4 cupCabbage, shredded
Procedures:
1Peel and slice carrots and turnip or parsnip.
2Peel and dice potato.
3Combine ingredients in large soup kettle.
4Bring to boil over high heat.
5Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 1 hour, until vegetables are tender and flavors meld.
6Remove bay leaves after first 30 minutes.
