Golden carrot soup

Ingredients:
1/4 cupButter
1 Sliced medium onion
1 smallMinced clove garlic
5 cupWater
2 1/2 cupSliced carrots
1/4 cupLong grain rice
2 tbspChicken bouillon mix
Procedures:
1Salt and chopped parsley melt butter in medium saucepan.
2Saute onion and garlic until tender.
3Add water, carrots, rice and bouillon mix.
4Bring to boil; cover and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
5Spoon vegetable mixture, parts at a time, into blender.
6Cover and blend until smooth.
7Add salt and parsley to taste.
