Bean okra tomato soup

Ingredients:
1 cupBeans, dried, navy, rinsed
6 cupWater
1 Ham bone
2 largeRipe tomatoes, peel and chop
1 largeOnion, chopped
3/4 lbsOkra
Salt & pepper to taste
Procedures:
1In a kettle, dutch oven, etc.
2Bring the beans and water to a boil; boil for 2 minutes.
3Remove from heat, cover and let stand for 1 hour.
4Add ham bone, tomatoes, and onion.
5Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 1 to 1 ?hours or until beans are tender.
6Add okra and simmer 15 minutes longer.
7Remove bone, cut off any meat and add meat to soup to reheat.
8Season with salt and pepper to taste.
