Ingredients:

| tsp | Baking soda | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| cup | Butter, softened | | 2/3
| cup | White sugar | | 2/3
| cup | Light brown sugar, packed | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 2
| | Eggs | | 1
| pack | 10 oz large semisweet | | | Chocolate pieces or 2 - 12 | | | Oz packages small pieces | | 3/4
| cup | Chopped pecans or other nuts |

Procedures:
| 1 | Preheat oven to 350°F. | | 2 | In a small bowl, combine flour, cocoa, soda, and salt and set aside. | | 3 | In a large mixing bowl, cream butter with sugars, vanilla, and then add eggs. | | 4 | Mix flour mixture with butter mixture. | | 5 | Add chocolate and nuts. | | 6 | Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 9-12 minutes. | | 7 | Very rich and very good. |
