Ingredients:

| lbs | Firm tofu | | 1/2
| cup | Sesame seeds | | 2
| tbsp | Cornstarch | | 3
| tbsp | Whole-wheat flour | | 1/4
| cup | Vegetable oil | | 1 1/2
| lbs | Red plums, pitted, peeled & | | | -- chopped | | 3/4
| cup | Sugar | | 1
| tbsp | Soy sauce | | 1
| tbsp | Teriyaki sauce | | | 2 ea Garlic cloves, chopped | | | Water to cover |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cut tofu into 1" squares. | | 2 | Mix together sesame seeds, cornstarch & flour. | | 3 | Roll tofu in sesame mixture till well coated. | | 4 | Heat oil in skillet till hot. | | 5 | Fry squares till well browned. | | 6 | Drain on paper towels & set aside. | | 7 | Place the rest of the ingredients in a pot. | | 8 | Add just enough water to cover by ?. | | 9 | Bring to a boil then simmer for 20 minutes. | | 10 | Blend till smooth. | | 11 | Pour into a serving bowl. | | 12 | To serve, place toothpicks in tofu cubes. | | 13 | Arrange on a platter & serve warm with the sauce. | | 14 | Jack santa maria, "chinese vegetarian cookery |
