| 1 | Place water into the bottom part of a double boiler. |
| 2 | Place on stove on high heat. |
| 3 | mix dry ingredients. |
| 4 | Place into top of double boiler. |
| 5 | shave or grate baking chocolate. |
| 6 | Add to double boiler. |
| 7 | Pour in milk. |
| 8 | Add oil or butter. |
| 9 | Mix thoroughly. |
| 10 | place top of double boiler into bottom of double boiler. |
| 11 | Heat mixture while stirring constantly until water in double boiler returns to a boil and mixture is sufficiently thickened. |
| 12 | Cover and continue heating for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. |
| 13 | take off heat and stir in vanilla extract. |
| 14 | Pour into dish(es) or mold and chill thoroughly. |
| 15 | *note* increase or decrease the amount of cornstarch depending on your own preference for the thickness. |
| 16 | If a molded pudding is desired, increase cornstarch to about 3 ?tb. if you are making my recipe for chocolate cream pie, increase cornstarch to about 4 ?tb. gary fackenthall |
