Ingredients:
2 cupSugar
2/3 cupHeavy cream
1 cupMilk
1/4 cupCorn syrup
1/4 tspSalt
1/2 tspVanilla extract
1 cupPecan meats, broken
4 ozSemi-sweet chocolate
Procedures:
1In heavy sauce pan, combine sugar, cream, syrup, and salt.
2Heat until sugar dissolves and the mixture comes to a boil, stirring constantly.
3Continue cooking until candy forms a soft ball in cold water.
4Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts.
5Beat until candy thickens and loses its gloss.
6Turn at once into a buttered square or rectangular pan.
7Heat chocolate in top of double boiler until partly melted.
8Remove from heat and stir rapidly until entirely melted.
9Pour chocolate over candy.
10Cool until firm and cut into individual squares.
