| 1 | Mix and melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk, stirring often. |
| 2 | Preheat oven to 350 degrees. |

| 4 | Combine cake mix with margarine, 1/3 cup evaporated milk (or more if needed) and nuts. |
| 5 | Place half the mixture into a greased 13 x 9 inch pan. |
| 6 | Bake 6 minutes, sprinkle baked mixture wit chocolate chips, then spread with caramel mixture. |
| 7 | Spread remaining mixture on top. |
| 8 | Bake 15 to 18 minutes. |
| 9 | Let cool then cut into squares. |
