Linda's nut crunch

Ingredients:
2 cupButter
2 cupSugar
6 tbspWater
10 ozSlivered almonds
12 ozSemi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cupWalnuts, chopped
Procedures:
1In electric skillet, melt butter.
2Add sugar, almonds and water.
3Place candy thermometer into mix.
4Temperature of skillet should be about 400 degrees.
5Cook, stirring constantly to hard/crack stage on thermometer.
6Pour mix quickly onto a large jelly roll sheet (large cookie sheet with sides).
7Spread very quickly.
8Cool in refrigerator.
9Melt chocolate chips over double boiler.
10Spread over cooled candy and sprinkle walnuts while chocolate is still soft.
11Press nuts into chocolate to secure.
12Cool again.
13Break into pieces and store in an airtight container
