| 1 | * betty crocker super moist yellow cake mix - works best. |
| 2 | ~--------------------------------------------------------------------- ~-- pre-heat oven to 350°F. |
| 3 | Mix ?of the cake mix with the butter, eggs and vanilla until smooth. |
| 4 | Add the remaining mix, chocolate chips and nuts. |
| 5 | Drop by teaspoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. |
| 6 | Bake 10-12 minutes (centers will be soft). |
| 7 | Cool slightly before removing from the pan. |
| 8 | Do not leave on cookie sheet for too long as the cookies will continue to bake and become hard instead of soft and chewy. |
| 9 | ~------------------------simplified version------------------------------- 1 ea.: cake mix as above, 1 t vanilla, ?c vegetable oil, 5 oz chocolate chips, 1 egg, ?c walnuts, chopped. |
| 10 | Mix as above. |
| 11 | If too stiff add a second egg. |
| 12 | Bake at 375 °F for 10-12 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. |
| 13 | Cool slightly before removing. |
