| cup | Buttermilk | | | Frosting: | | 1
| pack | 8 oz cream cheese | | 1
| | Stick butter | | 1
| lbs | Box powdered sugar | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | | Milk as needed |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cream shortening; add sugar gradually. Add eggs, one at a time; beat well. | | 2 | Make paste of cocoa and coloring; add to creamed mixture. Add salt, flour and vanilla alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition. | | 3 | Sprinkle soda over vinegar; pour vinegar over batter.
