Ingredients:

| dash | Salt | | 1/2
| tsp | Vanilla | | | Lemon Sauce | | 1

| tbsp | Cornstarch | | 1/8
| tsp | Salt | | 2
| cup | Water | | 1
| tbsp | Grated lemon peel | | 1/4
| cup | Butter | | 2
| tbsp | Lemon juice |

Procedures:
| 1 | Preheat oven to 350? | | 2 | Place bread crumbs in buttered 1 qt baking dish. | | 3 | Combine milk, sugar and butter in saucepan; heat until sugar is dissolved and butter melted. | | 4 | Beat eggs slightly, adding dash of salt. | | 5 | Stir into warm milk mixture and add vanilla. | | 6 | Pour over bread cubes. | | 7 | Set baking dish in pan of hot water. | | 8 | Bake in oven 1 hour, or until knife comes out clean when inserted in center. | | 9 | Serve hot or cold with plain cream or ser hot with lemon sauce. | | 10 | Lemon sauce: combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan. | | 11 | Sit in water and lemon peel. | | 12 | Boil one minute; remove from heat and stir in butter and lemon juice. | | 13 | Notes : i have eaten this for breakfast. | | 14 | It is good. |
