Ingredients:
2 cupDay old bread crumbs, crust

1/4 cupSugar
3 tbspButter
2 Eggs
1 dashSalt
1/2 tspVanilla
Lemon Sauce
1 cupSugar
2 tbspCornstarch
1/8 tspSalt
2 cupWater
1 tbspGrated lemon peel
1/4 cupButter
2 tbspLemon juice
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 350?
2Place bread crumbs in buttered 1 qt baking dish.
3Combine milk, sugar and butter in saucepan; heat until sugar is dissolved and butter melted.
4Beat eggs slightly, adding dash of salt.
5Stir into warm milk mixture and add vanilla.
6Pour over bread cubes.
7Set baking dish in pan of hot water.
8Bake in oven 1 hour, or until knife comes out clean when inserted in center.
9Serve hot or cold with plain cream or ser hot with lemon sauce.
10Lemon sauce: combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan.
11Sit in water and lemon peel.
12Boil one minute; remove from heat and stir in butter and lemon juice.
13Notes : i have eaten this for breakfast.
