Denver delight chili

Ingredients:
1 tbspVegetable oil
2 lbsBoneless round steak
-trimmed and cut in ?
-cubes
1 lbsBoneless pork loin or
-shoulder, cut in ? cubes 1 ?ts Garlic powder
1/2 tspGround black pepper
1/2 tspCelery salt
2 13.75 oz. cans ready-to-
-serve beef broth
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1/3 cupChili powder
1/4 cupInstant minced onion
2 tbspGround cumin
1 tbspPaprika
1 tspBrown sugar
1/2 tspGround sage leaves
1/2 tspThyme leaves, crushed
1/2 tspDry mustard
Procedures:
1In a dutch oven or saucepot, heat oil until hot; add 1/3 each of the beef and pork cubes.
2Cook, stirring frequently, until brown on all sides, about 5 minutes.
3Using a slotted spoon, remove meat to a plate, repeat twice with remaining meat.
4Drain off any excess fat in pot; return all meat to pot.
5Sprinkle with black pepper and celery salt; stir to coat meat.
6Add beef broth and tomato sauce.
7Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low; simmer, covered, until meat is nearly tender, about 1 hour.
8Stir in chili powder, minced onion, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, brown sugar, sage, thyme and dry mustard; simmer until meat is very tender, about 1 hour.
9Makes 6 servings.
