Ingredients:

| cup | Butter or margarine | | 1
| | Egg | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1 3/4
| cup | All-purpose flour | | 1
| cup | Chopped walnuts | | 1/2
| cup | Apricot jam |

Procedures:
| 1 | Beat together sugar, butter, egg and vanilla until smooth and creamy. | | 2 | Stir in flour and nuts. | | 3 | Spoon half the batter in a greased 9-inch square pan; spread evenly. | | 4 | Spread batter evenly with jam. | | 5 | Cover jam with remaining batter. | | 6 | Bake in 325 degree oven 50 minutes. | | 7 | Cool 10 minutes. | | 8 | Cut into 32 bars (1 x 2 inches). |
