Oprah's classic potatoes

Ingredients:
2 1/2 lbsRed potatoes
2 1/2 lbsIdaho Potatoes
1 1/4 cupButter
1 1/4 cupCreamy pureed horseradish
1 1/2 cupHeavy cream
2 1/2 tspKosher salt
1 1/2 tspGround black pepper
Procedures:
1Wash potatoes well, leaving the skin on.
2Cut potatoes in half lengthwise.
3Place in kettle and fill with water to cover bring to a boil.
4Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are very tender.
5Drain all water add butter while potatoes are hot.
6Begin to hand mash.
7Add horseradish, cream.
8Salt and pepper.
9Mash well until creamy but slightly lumpy.
10Makes 6 to 8 servings or approximately 10-12 cups) from the files of al rice, north pole alaska.
