Grandma peagrams rice pudding

Ingredients:

4 cupMilk, 2 %
1 tbspButter
1/3 cupRice, short grain *
1 tspVanilla
1/4 cupBrown sugar, packed
1 pinchSalt
Procedures:
1In a large saucepan, heat milk over medium high heat til bubbles appear around edge.
2Remove from heat.
3In a greased 8 cup baking dish preferably glass, combine milk, rice, sugar, butter, vanilla and salt.
4Bake in 300°F oven about 2 hours or until rice is just tender and most of milk is absorbed, stirring twice during first hour.
5i used long grain and it turned out fine.
