Dublin stewed pork

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbsPork pieces
2 lbsCooking apples
1 lbsOnions
1 tbspBrown sugar
3/4 cupStock or water
3/4 cupCream
Seasoned flour
Butter or bacon fat
Procedures:
1Chop meat and onion into rough pieces.
2Melt the fat or butter and gently fry the onion until tender.
3Remove from pan.
4Toss the meat in seasoned flour and brown quickly in fat.
5Place onions, meat, stock and sugar in a pot and simmer, covered, for 1 ?hours.
6Peel, core and chop apples.
7Add to pot.
8Continue cooking until apples are just cooked but not too mushy.
9Add cream and heat through.
10Do not boil! correct seasoning, and serve
