Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbsLean Ground Beef
2 eachSlices Bacon, Cut Up
1/2 cupMilk
1 eachEgg, Lg
1/4 cupBread Crumbs, Dry
2 tbspParsley, Snipped
1 tbspWorcestershire Sauce
1 tspSalt
1/2 tspMustard, Dry
1/4 tspPepper
1/8 tspGarlic Powder
MEAT LOAF STUFFING
1/2 cupButter Or Margarine
1/4 cupOnion, Chopped, 1 Sm
1/2 cupCelery/Leaves, Chopped
2 cupBread Crumbs, Fresh
1/4 tspSalt
1/4 tspSage
1/8 tspThyme
1 dashPepper
Procedures:
1Heat the oven to 350 °F.
2Mix all of the ingredients except the stuffing together.
3Spread 2/3rds of the mixture into an ungreased loaf pan 9 x 5 x 3-inches, pressing the mixture up the sides of the pan to within ?inch of the top.
4Spoon the stuffing onto the mixture in the pan and then top with the remaining meat mixture covering the stuffing completely.
5Bake in the oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
6Drain off the excess fat and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing into thick slices.
7Serve on a heated platter.
8Meat loaf stuffing: melt the butter in a large skillet.
9Add the onion and the celery and cook an stir until the onion is tender.
10Remove from the heat and stir in the remaining ingredients.
