Ingredients:
1 cupPecans
1/2 cupButter or margarine
1/2 cup+2T shortening
1 cupConfectioners' sugar
2 1/2 cupSifted cake flour
2 tspVanilla extract
Procedures:
1Chop pecans rather coarsely.
2Work or cream butter (margarine) and shortening together until smooth.
3Beat in the confectioners" powdered sugar gradually.
4Stir in the flour throughly and add vanilla and pecans.
5Mix well.
6Drop by teaspoonsful onto an ungreased baking sheet.
7Bake in 325 degree preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are a delicate, light brown.
8Makes 4 dozen.
