| cup | Shortening, "golden flavour" | | 3/4
| cup | Sugar, granulated | | | 1 ea Egg | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1/2
| tsp | Almond extract | | 1 1/4
| cup | Flour, all purpose | | 1/2
| tsp | Baking soda | | 1/2
| tsp | -Salt |

Procedures:
| 1 | Chock full of fruit and nuts, these taste like minifruit cakes combine fruit and nuts. | | 2 | Mix well. | | 3 | Cream shortening, sugar, egg and flavouring on medium speed of an electric mixer until light and creamy. | | 4 | Combine flour, baking soda and salt. | | 5 | Add to creamed mixture, beating on low speed until blended. | | 6 | Stir in fruits. | | 7 | Mix well. | | 8 | Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. | | 9 | Bake at 350f for 10-12 minutes or until golden. | | 10 | Freezes well. | | 11 | Makes: about 3 dozen cookies |
