Ingredients:
1 cupC and H Brown Sugar, packed
3/4 cupShortening
1 Egg
1/4 cupMolasses
2 cupAll-purpose flour
2 tspBaking soda
1 tspGinger
1 tspCinnamon
1 tspCloves
1/4 tspSalt
C and H Granulated Sugar
Procedures:
1Cream together sugar and shortening until fluffy.
2Add egg and molasses; beat well.
3Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture; mix well.
4Chill dough, then shape into 1-inch balls and roll in granulated sugar.
5Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
6Bake in 350 degree oven 12 to 15 minutes.
7Makes 4 dozen snappy cookies.
