| cup | Chopped dates | | 1
| cup | Chopped pecans |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cream together shortening and brown sugar, beat in eggs one at a time, add eggs, pumpkin pie filling, and vanilla. | | 2 | Sift together 3 cups flour and baking powder, stir into mixture, mix remaining ?cup flour with dates and stir into batter. | | 3 | Stir in pecans. | | 4 | Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. | | 5 | Bake at 350 °F for 16 minutes. | | 6 | Makes 7 ?dozen. |
