Hazelnut (or almond) biscotti

Ingredients:
1 cupSugar
1/2 cupUnsalted butter melted
2 tsp(or 3 tsp) ground cinnamon
2 tbspVanilla extract
1 tspCoarse salt
3 Eggs
1 cupAlmonds or hazelnuts, coarse
-chop
2 3/4 cupFlour
2 tspBaking powder
Powdered sugar
Procedures:
1Recipe by: recipe from "pacific northwest palate" in a mixer blend together butter, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and salt.
2Add eggs one at a time until mixture is light and fluffy.
3Stir in nuts.
4Sift together four and baking powder.
5Stir into sugar mixture.
6Chill at least 2 to 3 hours.
7Shape dough into loaves about 1 inch thick, 2 inches wide and as long as your greased cookie sheet.
8Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
9Remove from oven and let cool.
10Cut loaves in 1 inch diagonal slices.
11Lay slices cut side down on a cookie sheet and return to oven for 5 to 10 minutes until lightly toasted.
12Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
13Store in an air thight container.
14These will last a long time if you can keep from eating them.
