Ingredients:

| cup | Flour | | 2 1/2
| tsp | Baking powder | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 2/3
| cup | Butter | | 2 1/2
| cup | Brown sugar | | 3
| | Eggs | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1
| cup | Coarsely chopped nuts | | 1 1/4
| cup | Carob chips |

Procedures:
| 1 | Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. | | 2 | Melt butter. | | 3 | Add sugar and beat until well mixed. | | 4 | Let cool slightly. | | 5 | Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. | | 6 | Stir in dry ingredients, followed by vanilla. | | 7 | Stir in nuts and carob chips. | | 8 | Turn into lightly oiled 9 x 13-inch pan. | | 9 | Bake at 350 °F for 25 minutes. | | 10 | Let cool. | | 11 | Cut into bars. |
