| cup | Shortening | | 2
| cup | Sugar | | 3
| | Eggs | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 4
| cup | Flour | | 1
| tsp | Baking powder | | 1
| tsp | Soda | | 2
| tsp | Salt | | 1/4
| tsp | Allspice (optional) | | 1 1/2
| tsp | Cinnamon | | 1/4
| tsp | Nutmeg (optional) | | 1
| cup | Black walnuts (chopped) |

Procedures:
